More than that. The Chinese link form work (their drills) to wrestling. Their equipment drills are quite similar to the Okinawan goju equivalent.

To look at more here is a Chinese site, that loads very slowly, but shows a ton of Chinese wrestling technique studes. I normally open one up, do anything esle till it loads, find the end button (small square on the bottom left of the screen) and after I hit it 3 rectangles appear on the screen right. Hit the top one and it starts playing.

of course I can't figure out whether this is chin na or shaui jiao, but they're very good clips.

Is it possible to find a Shuai Jiao school in the US?? I've been wanting to learn some throughout the past year. I would say Judo could supplement but Shuai Jiao would flow better because I already have experience with Kung Fu.

Shaui Jiao does exist in the states. About 20 years ago there were many articles discussing it in "Inside Kung Fu" magazine. Off hand I recall there were schools in Calif., Ohio. I've never run into it myself, but seeing those video's I can see a lot of logic in their art.

I recall reading in the Chinese arts there was a lot of rivarly between the 'Kung Fu' systems and "Chaui Jiao".

Unfortunatly I maxed out on learning new systems decades ago...
