Balance, Footwork, and ba gua? - 02/25/07 03:02 PM

I've been practicing Ba gua and I have the form down, but I don't know what what to improve to better my footwork. I know there are certain principals of ba gua you need to follow to get the benifits in the footwork, but can anyone give me any other tips on improving my footwork (preferebly via ba gua) and also any other ways to improve balance will be apprecieated. Thanks.

The footwork IS the Form and if you still need to improve your footwork, you have not got "...the form down"

By "have the form down," I assume you mean that you've memorised the movements. What aspect of your footwork do you want to improve? For greater control and strength, move through the form slowly and concentrate on rooting. Use low stances and try to move fluidly.
