First and foremost this is a great article check it out. I have been reading into Seido Karate a lot lately and it seems like a great style. Next time I am in Buffalo I may have to check out some schools up there.

I first saw the documentary Fighting Black Kings about 4 or 5 years ago and loved it. Mr. Martin was 1 the 4 Americans that went over to Japan to compete in the first world hard contact karate tournament. The film shows tons of training from all sorts of countries.

Good to see that Hanshi Martin is still training. He has changed quite a bit but I guess thats what more then 35-40 years of training will do for you. He is obviously still active I have that tape lots of great hard fought matches interesting view of full contact Karate.

Oyama was a Korean but he trained in Japanese Karate it shows in his rules of sparring.
