Initially I've thought you meant Shidokan Karate, which is almost an anagram of the style you mentioned!:

yeah it helps a professor teaches it at a college I might goto I just wanted to see if it was a real art.

The headquarters is in Austria. It traces it's lineage back to Kanken Toyama via Isao Ichikawa(?), so its pretty diverse. Lots of kata too. A lot of them are the same as Shudokan given that they are so closely related. I met two practicioners a couple years ago from Vienna and they were fantastic.
If you've never seen Doshinkan or Shudokan, I'd probably say they look a lot like Shito ryu in execution. Just my opinion... I'm no expert, but I've studied Shudokan for a little over 4 years now and I love it. If you've got a competent teacher, I'd say that Doshinkan has a lot of depth to it. Best of luck.
