Hyakuhachiho

is supposedly a shotokan kata... I have never heard of or seen this kata before until I accidentally found it on youtube...

Anyone know where the hell this kata came from. It looks to me like a form of Suparinpei, but still I have never seen it with a shotokan label.

I think Kanazawa imported it into his style of Shotokan.

Hmmm.. Thats interesting. I wonder if my karate teacher would like that very much... It would be fun to learn and just put it in my little bag of tricks. I have always been curious with that family of katas...

Do you think many shotokan clubs will pick this kata up?

Any other katas that get imported to shotokan recently?
