The Laws of Weapons Carry and Possession - 07/05/11 01:45 AM

Please allow me to let it be known, when considering a weapon, even for display or martial art training, that said person who is thinking of buying-owning, thoroughly check their local/governing laws.

Long story-short;

Recently, a student of mine, changed residency, and such laws of his new residence, banned certain weapons.

He did not thoroughly check his local/governing laws, and is now in a heap of legal ramifications.

He tried claiming "ignorance of the law", but this is not going to work.

Now, I have to travel to his new city of residency, to report to the legal sector as a character witness type to get him out of legal trouble-if possible.

Weapons and ownership can be serious, leave the fantasies alone when legal issues have to be first addressed

I fully understand the laws what with all the drive by sai-ings, gang nunckaku-ings, tonfa wildings, and such...it is completly out of hand! What incredibly screwed up part of the world do you live in?
