Sai Popularity

Is it just me, or have the inquiries into the sai and how to use them/requests for video of techniques, increased exponentially since the release of the movie "Elektra"??

Has anyone seen "Whale Rider" - I aven't, but the weapon the Maori use looks suspiciously like a Jo.

The weapon used by the Maori is a taiaha.

It is a 2 handed weapon that is used similarly to a jo.

I've seen the movie and read the book.
I liked the book best, however the movie is good eyecandy and a good storyline which is close to the book.
