is this still a PHILOSOPHY or has it been degraded into a style. do you think bruce would be happy with modern JKD and the new public view of his art.

It's hard to tell. His thinking was heavely affected by Krishnamurti, so I think that he didn't really want to tell EXACTLY, what JKD should be.

It is a tool towards personal liberation in combative form, isn't it? I think it should be looked that way as well.

For example, discouraging competition doesn't mean that for JKD practitioner it is strictly forbidden to compete, it just is against Lee's original beliefs. If someone want to corporate JKD into competition, itīs okay. As long as person is expressing oneself honestly, not someone else or someone else's set of ideas. Blindly.

JKD to me is to fight how you like and from your soul not thinking about what others think of you. i hope JKD never becomes a way or style but a distroyer of ignerence we must always remember this because bruce is not here to remind us anymore

A lot of JKD schools have turned what they teach into a style, but it is still a philosophy. Just remember that it's only a name and we shouldn't fuss over it.
