if your hand herts, rest it!
are you usesing mats?
you use your hand to brake your fall and to absorb some of the shock!

tell your instructor your problem

I suggest telling your instructor so he can help you out or perhaps correct an error in your technique. If the pain continues, stopping doing whatever is causing it. If you're hurt, you can't train. That will help you alot if you remember that as you continue your martial arts training.

Tell your instructor.
Don't make it sound like you are complaining, but rather that you believe you may be doing something wrong. This kind of feedback is important for your instructor to help you do better. He'll probably be able to help you do much better; Jujutsuka have been falling/rolling for centuries...hands
