KUKISHIN RYU SOJUTSU IN NEW YORK
April 18th & 19th Yasuragi Dojo in Mahopac, New York will be hosting a workshop on Kukishin Ryu Sojutsu (Spear techniques of the Kuki School of Bujutsu) with Chad Flakker, Dojo Cho of the Jinenkan Gouken Dojo (PA.) and Yon Dan under Manaka Sensei.
This will be an intense workshop focused on developing fundamentals of Samurai Spear.
Friday evening training will cover:
Kamae
Tsuki/nuki
Maki age & more
Saturday training will cover:
Sabaki Gata (9)
Training times:
Friday evening, April 18 – 7:00-8:30pm
Saturday, April 19 – 10:00-3:00pm
There will be a complimentary training session at the Dojo from 8:00am to 10:00 covering taijutsu basics and rank material. Anyone is welcome to attend prior to the workshop.
Training costs will be:
$40 for Jinenkan members
$45 for non-Jinenkan members
$20 for Friday evening
Please contact Yasuragi Dojo if you wish to attend, this way we can have the correct training supplies available for everyone. Please bring bokuto.
Students from all disciplines and experience levels are welcome to attend and there will be a printed curriculum distributed to all attendees.
