The science of Jujitsu and Japanese combat tricks - 03/02/03 07:59 PM

I just bought the most hilarious book today. It was published in 1935, on ultra cheap pulp newsprint, and fully half the book is magazine style ads for mail-order handguns, racially offensive "Novelties", and "modern wonders of science". The other half is a half-assed Jujitsu manual apparently drawn by an 8 year old, complete with "tricks" such as: "the secret thumb knockout", "defense against revolver", and "the shake-hand-trick"!
The only worse martial arts book I have EVER seen was "STREET NINJA"! If you can find street ninja, DEFINITELY check it out. It's a hoot!

Judo has been an Olympic sport for men since 1964 and for women since 1984. Both fight in eight weight classes. Proficiency in judo is indicated by the color of a player's belt; white indicates a beginner, black a master. There is a wide range of color in between.
