Granted you could have a mild bruise or a very bad one, how long does it take to recover from a bruised tailbone typically?
I keep landing on mine about once a week. Not hard enough to hurt it outright, but enough to keep it injuired. It's been three or maybe four weeks now since it first became a problem.

I had a fractured tailbone from sparring several years ago. Very painful injury, and it took a long time to heal. About 6-8 weeks as I remember.

For a bruise, about two week of no training and sleeping on your Gut!!

A week or ten days for a bruised tailbone, if you lay off it.
Take a week or so off and then when you return to class, revisit your ukemi. You really shouldn't be landing on your a$$ that much.

The first time I landed on my tailbone happened when my nage put his knee behind me, preventing me from tucking the "near" leg and landing like I had been taught. Instead of rolling, I went straight down. Ouch!
He then told me if the "near" leg was being blocked, tuck the "outside" leg instead. Nice timing, sir!
