Schools?

Can anyone tell me if there are any reputable Daito-Ryu/Aiki-Jujitsu/Similar Arts schools on the island of Oahu, HI? Also, I would like any information that someone could give me regarding these arts, as I am looking to return to learning, as soon as I can find a good school. Thank you.

I would have to say that as Japanese are fairly prevalent in the Hawaiian islands, you should be able to find one. I can't say for certain that I know of one in particular. Daito Ryu is a direct lineage art from the Tokugawa Samurai and the Aizu-Takeda clans. Hence, the movements, techniques, and scholarly aspects are based from the Ono ha Ittoryu school of sword arts. To differentiate, Aikido, notice the "do", stresses spiritual progress, where as Aikijujutsu, stresses combat technique. A good site for finding more info is www.daito-ryu.com.
