Interesting Incident - 11/01/00 09:41 AM
One of the juniors in our kenjutsukai (who attended Okabayashi Sensei's recent Daito-ryu seminar at the Itten Dojo) was in Wal-Mart the other day, had just finished checking out, and was headed towards the exit.
As it happened, Joe was practicing walking bushi-style, as he had learned at the seminar.
There was a older, Japanese man working in the store who stopped Joe, fixed him with a penetrating look, and asked, "Going out to *fight* the cold?"
Unfortunately, I don't think Joe got the gentleman's name. I would love to invite him to the dojo, so we may go back and try to find him.
