can someone take me through how to preform a proper spinning heel kick? i can do them now but im not quite sure my technique is right. im a bit too slow cause the movement feels unnatural to me. thank you

Well there are 2 ways of performing this kick. 1 is the "traditional" way the other is "WTF" style. IMHO traditional is WAY too slow and easily telegraphed. The WTF style is more practical and is somewhat disguised.

Tradtional you spin, bring you knee up and out extend and hook. WTF is thrown like a back kick. half rotation, knee up STRAIGHT back then full extension and hook completeing the full rotation. Timing is KEY!!! When you get good with it, you can exchange hook kicks with back kicks and completely leave your opponent dumb founded.

Remember the fastest wat to get from point A to point B is a straight line.

It works and it is powerful and it is easier to maintain balance and you will be in a better position if you happen to miss.
