in sparring, to do a head shot, would you use a crescent or hook kick. personally, the ax most of the time works to my advantage. tell me what you think.

It depends as all techniques are. Howover, I think roundhouse kick is easier as I usually go with low/high combination wither with same leg or different legs. The problam of ax is the range, however if you have a looooooooooooong legs then that should be fine:-)

personally...

crescent kicks when point blank and on the lock up.

hook kick when in stricking distance.

spin hook kick when in point blank and on the lock up...however most people dont' have the balance to do this without falling over. And when I mean point blank I mean you two have your bodies touching. Remeber if you touch the floor with your hands, the kick won't count in sparring.

I go to TKD with a cousin that has long legs, so when our instructor announces heat shots, it is no problem for him to hit me. he is around 6'4" and i am 5'10". I need some help on how to score on him!

foot work and using your head for something other than blocking his foot with it.
