How many of you Judo Players also wrestled/wrestle in high school?

Do you ever use your judo in a highschool match?

All replies are welcome.

I didn't, but a guy on our team did. He did extremely well as a Freshman and made it to the sectional meet and was one match away from qualifying for state. However, he kind of fell off after that and never did as well. He used a lot of head and arm and hip throws very effectively.

my old wrestling coach said he actually did the reverse. He competed against Judoka using his wrestling. I also know a number of successful Backhold and Gouren wrestlers who are Jdoka.

Yeah, I bet he hit a lot of hip throws.. probably had a wicked uchimata (inner thigh bump) for guys doing single leg takedowns, too...
