am thinking of starting Judo again, wasn't happy at my old club. had high grade black belts, banging down 5th kyu grades, WHAT'S THE POINT IN THAT!! Just an ego trip. what would a kyu grade learn from being thrown all over the shop. Or am I wrong, but to me it's like a boxer knocking out a beginner, I don't think it would happen.
Your thoughts would be appreciated

Although i agree with what you saying about throwing 5th kyu's around the mat you have to consider the abillty of the 5th kyu uke being thrown, if they are competent and expierenced at break falls then there should be no problem, also i believe that judo is learnt better by feeling what is happing more than watching, please do not take it that i am condoning the marmalisation of lower grades, im just trying to put perspective on your question.

And yes i agree it wrong for a dan grade to be blasting any judoka into the tatami irrespective of the grade, (that should be reseved for the contest, and even then, is not judo 'the gentle way'?)
