pulled stomach muscle - 02/18/04 02:18 PM

i few years ago i went to the emergency room with what was diagnosed as a hernia (bad testical pain). after going to a specialist i was rediagnosed with a pulled lower stomach muscle. i explained that i study martial arts and lift weights thinking that could be the cause, the doctor said i described similiar symptoms that other martial artists have also described. after about a week and a half the pain went away.

...to get to the point any one experience anything similiar

No experience, but it sounds like a classic muscle imbalance between the back, the hip flexors and the stomach.

Yeah, long story short, buy legendary abs gold from www.martial-arts-fitness.com and read the whole book and work on the athletics section - you will have a torso of steel with mega strong hip flexors to boot.

Also add lower back exercises in to support the spine and balance the stomach out - there are many but good old deadlifts, neck bridges etc. are as good as anything.
