Bone bruises - 04/03/01 08:38 AM

I liked the article and it pretty much coresponds with what I have learnt from my physio. With normal bruises (and even a haemotomae that I have had) I have found you can also massage (towards the heart) but only after the pain has subsided. This gradually clears the swelling and helps the healing process. But now I have a bruise (suspected bone) on my second toe (sustained during the 3rd round of kumite in a tournament 10 days ago, BB senior veterans age division. And it is taking a while to heal. Swelling and pain just won't subside. I guess from Dr Miller's article it could take up to a couple of months... of well, that won't stop me training, I can still punch:-)
