Stretching must've done something... - 10/25/05 12:07 AM

About a month ago I asked a friend to help me stretch. I sat on the ground legs open and asked him to push my legs open with his and to pull on me so I could get my upper body closer to the ground. I remember it hurt alot, but I told him to push even more. Now it hurts just to open my legs a little, and its been like that for a while, so I need a really good warmup to stretch.

What I'm basically asking is....what did I mess up? Any miracle-cure for it?

Miracle cure, probably not. Sitting in a hot bath, may be with salt in it may help.

If it hurts a lot, that's the end of your stretch. Don't over stretch.

Of course, I'm telling you this too late. If you're in that much pain, you should see a doctor. You could have done some real damage.

Exactly, even though this is after the fact you should stay away from partner assisted stretching. Or, like zombie said, when it hurts STOP!! Definitely get it checked out, cuz if it is a groin pull, that ain't nothing to play with...

That's right... you'll go blind that way.

When you stretch bad and force it you create microscopic damage to your legs that will make your legs even more unflexible. Patience .
