bokken/bokuto and shinai

Hello everyone! I have a post to look at for you. I need some information on bokken/bokuto and shinai. Actually I was wondering how to build a shinai. Plus I am thinking of a time when I might need skills with a katana,wakizashi,or any similar weapon. Feel free use this thread to talk about hating something if you want.
