The swords used in ninjutsu are the same as any other katana. The straight blade "ninja-to" was never used and is the figment of the movie industry.

Before you buy a sword for ninjutsu i recommend you find an instructor. Then they can answer this type of question, as they will know more about what you need for their class than anyone else.
