www.chicagobudokai.com will give you the most actual information you're likely to find on-line. Aside from that, you'll find some people, like myself, who enjoy the art and think its excellent for a beginner and senior alike. You'll find others who don't care much for us, because we have no proof of our lineage and/or subscribers to the various levels of rumor and inuendo that run rampant in the absence of actual information. At the end of the day, the best thing you can do to get the answer to your question, is go observe a class and talk with the instructor. If you feel good about the enviroment, move forward...if not, keep looking.

Even within Tenshin-ryu, you'll find different instructors with different personal styles. I would venture to say that the instructor and your ability to work with them is a more important consideration than the art itself.

Check it out. See what you think.
