diagonal cuts - yokomen and kesa giri - 05/12/04 04:28 AM

Hi. I recently started to learn Kenjutsu, and I can say I am improving my skills quite fast for a beginner. To further improve my skills, I decided to join this forum. For now, let me discuss about diagonal cuts.

-You do a diagonal cut either during yokomen or kesagiri. I find it much easier when the movement is initiated from "hasso no kamae" or "waki no kamae", so I would like to have some advices on how to do diagonal cuts well from "Jodan" without having to bring the sword to either sides - unless it HAS to be like this.

- At the end of a kesagiri, what should be the ideal position of the blade and your arms.

(By the way, please excuse my poor English!)
