I'm do my Kendo 5th Kyu examination on Tuesday. I'm feeling quite confident about my techniques, but I'm not too sure about kata #1. Anyway, wish me luck.

It went without a hitch. I spent a lot of the weekend practicing kata and techniques, and apparently it paid off. I'm quite lucky in that my sister also does kendo, so I've got somebody to practice this stuff against. Kendo kata in particular is quite difficult to train for solo, since a large part of doing it right is synchronising correctly with your partner.
