Olympic fencing from China - 06/21/09 07:17 PM

This is a bit late (two years).
This weekend I was visiting my sister in the Adirondaks when sports on local television became the topic.

She had watched the Olympics over a Canadian channel. She saw our ladies fencing team win gold, silver and bronze live and unedited.

I had to watch them on a US channel. They showed the three winning ladies sitting in straight backed chairs in a bare studio TALKiNG about their matches. My question is why was I not able to watch those matches on US channels? What sort of deal had been hatched with the Chinese?

If this has already been discussed, please tell me where. I am still steaming. Those lady fencers were the reason I contributed anything toward our teams. I am delighted they won, but I feel cheated.

Hey, I liked being a dragon.

Where did this "Enthusiast" bit come from?
