I have been looking around places, yet I am having trouble finding a Double sided short sword, preferably the lengh of a Kodachi. If none exists, then does anyone know where I can find a plain kodachi?

It sounds to me that you are looking for either a spatha or a gladius. Try looking around using those names and you should find plenty to look at.

Good luck!

Paul Chen has BIG catalog, be careful on purchase if one will practice Batto (and what will you try cutting, mats, bamboo, a hanging leg of Lamb?). bending a sword is common, swords will break tho and that flying sharp pointy shrapnel may want to become one with you...worse a loved one. You get what you pay for...design of sword dictates use (i.e. material and tech for Batto, Jian slashes and jabs, Katana slices, axe or machete hacks)
