Sword Fighting on Long Island

Hi! I'm new here, my name is Mike and I live on Long Island (NY).

I was wondering if there is anybody around that would like to get a group started for the western martial arts, or maybe there is already a group...

If something exists anywhere on the planet, there is a duplicate in New York, with the exception of country radio.

What sort of western swordplay?
Sport Fencing?
Hitting each other with big theatrics?
Serious study

Yes I am looking for serious study.
ARMA does have a couple of groups here, one in NYC and one in Brooklyn.
However, they are both a bit far for me, as I am poor and don't want to pay out the wazoo for gas.
I do know about a group supported by USFA, and I am going to meet them next week, I don't think it's going to go too far though as they are about sport fencing.
