New Titles
The current titles the forum has are great. (Stranger, Newbie, Member, etc.)
But I noticed the Moderators recently assigned one forum member the "Whiny Cry Baby" title.
Here's the short list of other titles I'd like to see implemented. (I have certain forum members in mind for these, but I'll refrain from naming names.)

Art Basher
Smarmy Know-it-all
Thread Arsonist
This is sort of a 'Scarlet Letter' approach, but I think it would help deter some of the thread pollution we've been seeing of late.

. Once...was kinda funny...a new toy to try out. But if serious, I'd weigh in with a 'no'. I think it's cruel and serves no positive purpose.

Yes, I'm (mostly) kidding. I'm sure I'm not alone in getting tired of certain behaviors we see on these boards. I know nothing is going to totally eliminate it, I was just venting my spleen.

If we had a list of some that were definite positives it wouldn't be an issue to do such a thing.

I know you say that "moderators are immune", but that doesn't negate the fact that Brian went through one heck of an ordeal and deserves recognition for it. I know he's "just a moderator", but I've lost family members to cancer (I know, I'll be very diligent about having my physicals done once I'm in the military), and I know he deserves some recognition for what he went through. The toughest thing I've faced in life was watching someone I loved greatly die a slow, painful death.

That passed me too. The news actually caught me offguard. Belnick wasn't a "n00b" was he? No, I think I remember speaking with him a long time ago...back in the old forum layout days...
Oh and I'm loving this new title. It shows off my very handsome use for the Uber word. Now to get the mods something for Christmas....hmm...

Thankyou,but I don't really need recognition. I went through it and it's done.Many people have been through worse that you'll never hear of. Lots of people deserve recognition for helping me through it. My brother and his wife,my dad,my sister,my church family,my guard family,and all of my friends,even you guys!!!!
I did get a nice plaque from Joel though!!

Ok, at least you got your plaque. You are right, there are thousands of cancer survivors, people with hiv/aids who get up and continue living every day even when they feel like giving up the struggle, even a few who go through some of the stuff I go through (not complaining, just mentioning it), unable to find decent work or fulfill their obligations as an adult (not referring to money problems, referring to not living up to the ideal of a "mature adult").
Still, I'm vying for "Fighting Arts Warrior of the Year '06".

I like to remain as is. I believe at 2000 posts you become a Professional Poster so that is something in the near future. Let's just hope that being on here and posting that I'm contributing and not being a "poser" or pain in the butt.
Brian went through something that I hope I never have to see. I applaud him for wanting to stay as is and that he mentions others have gone through it or worse. He of course is a small fish in the big sea of things ... but he is a fish in our pond and when he need support we were here for him. He acknowledges this as well ... I guess as sort of a thanks ... but none was needed as this is just people caring when it matters. No thanks are ever necessary in instances like this ... just a smile.

Folks,
"Titles" are things conferred upon people by other people, and not the other way round. Please do not request this of the mods. Moderator titles cannot be changed. It is a software feature. Members that have "shown" themselves to be deserving of a title that befits their status on this forum, either deservedly or undeservedly, as the case may be, MAY at the mods discretion be conferred a title. This will be done on a case by case basis, depending on circumstances.
Hope this makes it clear. Let's not get crazy about it.
