I think we all should have belts under our names according of how many posts we posted
For example:

1 post

A white belt picture

Example 2:

Chakuy
Member
123145 posts

A 6th Dan BB picture

Something like that

I don't think it's a good idea Brian...we just re-started our post-count remember? lol

so lets see if 123145 posts = 6th dan

then 3000 posts = 9th kyu? damn! we could have been yellow belts by now!!!

9th kyu! eeewwww..... How many belts would there be? Why not sashes? What colors? Won't we have alot of one word posts from people trying to up their "rank"? We'd have to invoke flood control again. yuk.

Is this supposed to symbolize something? It would be far from showing a persons knowledge. Some people for example may post very often but have absolutely NOTHING intelligent to say while another member with only a hand full of posts could be speaking volumes. Not all martial artists favor belts and for very good reasons. I don't see why a martial arts forum should adopt a rank system.

there is a forum i've been on that once you hit 300 posts if you're posting is deemed worthy enough then you're allowed into a special foum where the more elitist people are. I think they implemented this because they've got about 8000 members or something crazy and they're always growing in number.
