Bug. I get it as well, trying to get back as close to the old colors as possible.
Man if it isn't broke, why try to fix it? They really messed this place up in my opinion. Maybe soon all the kinks will be worked out and we can get used to the new format

Change the "parent posts" section from 0 to 25. Worked for me.
