Hello. Im interested in knowing more about japanese calligraphy, what the symbols are and what they mean and how to properly draw them. can anyone give me a good website addy or something? Thanks

japanese and chinese calligraphy are not symbols. They are chinese or japanese words that meas something.

I also looked far and wide for a good web site on shodo (japanese calligraphy) to no avail - however, there is an excellent book on the market, called SHODO : The Art of Coordinating Mind, Body and Brush, by William Reed. It is interesting, clear and concise, with good visuals and good instructions on how to discover this great art. Good luck! Kanukgirl
