Question about Pressure Point?

Ok im not even sure if this is a pressure point or not ..I dont train in this at all but im curious ..about 3/4 of the way down on the left thumb is there a pressure point? reason I ask is sometimes i'll bang that area of my thumb or i'll press on it leaning against something ..or really all kinds of reason ..and its never hard ..sometimes I can tap it but its always when im not expecting it ..if I just do it nothing happens ..but the pain is so severe but only last like 6-7 seconds then goes away ..and its only on my left thumb ..maybe it can happen on my right too but im guessing I never bang that thumb or do whatever to it ..its not in the webbing between the index finger and the thumb its on the thumb itself right where the webbing and the thumb meet ..
