Pressure point fighting(kyusho jitsu) involves more than just "pressing" spots on the body to cause pain. It is intricately linked to the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) and Modern Western Medicine(MWM), especially the sympathetic and para-sympathetic nervous systems. It is also linked with bunkai and kata.

Pressure points are used in combination to cause specific and predictable reactions in the attacker. Each point has a specific Manipulation, Angle, and Direction. These must be known in order to get the desired reaction. Lucky for us many of the early masters worked out these angle and direction combinations and placed(hid?) them in kata.

I would like this forum to combine the study of pressure points as well as how they relate to kata. Just about everything you need is in kata from sounds to use, energetics, pressure points, blocking pressure point attacks and much more.
