Lok,

It merely means you need to leanr(sic) how to receive attakcs(sic), like pushes and punches.

Catching a push, follwing it back, taking it out a little bit, then down, up and under into a wristlock, armbar, where your supporting hand is against their elbow, which is locked in at about 80 degrees, so your arms are like the postures in Jion (after the three palm heel strikes in horse riding stance), is a practical wrsit(sic) lock and coutner(sic) to a push, which is how fights often start. This is used by bouncers a lot.
