Weapons Katas???? READ

Guys I need illustrations and step by step instructions for weapons katas online. Does anyone have any good resources they can share? Thanks!
(I'm mostly looking for bo/jo, kama, sword stuff but anything will be much appreciated.)

Hi, in aikibudo there are at least two official weapon kata: tambo (short stick) and tanto (knife). But i don't know if it is online anywere.. I update my website very often: www.wado-ryu-karate.tk. I will add a video of the tanto no kata soon.

It's interesting that there really doesn't seem to be a great deal of weapons kata mpg's around.

These won't help you much, but old vidoe's of Isshinryu Karate's founder, Shimabuku Tatsuo, can be seen here showing him performing the Isshinryu weapons forms. They were done for technique demonstration and not at full power or speed.

Try www.shotokaionline.com. There are a lot of empty hand kata's but there are some Bo kata's on there. The site has photo's, which look fairly old, of all the kata movements.

try www.shotokaionline.com. There are some bo katas there with step-by-step photo's. The photo's are a bit old, but they are clear enough. However, having looked at the Matsukaze-no-kon kata, some of the sequence is in the wrong order. If you need them putting in the right order, let me know and I'll put it right for you.

There is now a Weapons section. If you are still interested, I recommend asking there too.

Master Kise's site was taken down several months ago because people were illegally profiting from the site. For a while he had a new site at www.matsumara-seito.com (I think) but I don't know if that one is still around either.
