Awesome sketches! reminds me of a few times I've been the shodo(korean for dummy right?) for my instructor as he demonstrates techniques to the class! ouch!

very cool. are you also thinking about getting ideas from the actual bubishi sketches? If so, I've found this to be useful for reference:

good luck with your project...I look forward to the finished work!

About time you got that book on the market isn't it?

Try a couple of the bunkai at the East Coast shindig. Razwell and I will be there in spirit.

Sure we will try them out, maybe JohnL would want to go over a few since he is doing the "bunkai thing". Do have your drawings on some type of file you can send me. Would like to print them out to bring to our event or is that copywright infringment?

Not a problem. I can send some files.

Re: Boobishi Roughs - 02/09/06 09:01 AM

Thanks guys,
I am much better at starting projects than I am at finishing them. Just ask my wife. Brian I would love to work some with you on it. The way I explain it is that I'm at a level I call "Conscious Incompetence".
I know more that I can readily apply. I know what I can't do. As I break things down I look for ways to practice individual apps. with a partner. There just does not seem to be enough time in the days to explore as much as I would like. It is a lot of fun. It's kind of like panning for gold. If I slosh around enough I may just find a nugget.

Good stuff, Mark.

I even noticed some parts of forms I know.

Do you get a lot of people pointing fingers (front & back?) at you?

Love to see some eye pokes though; just the pokes, not the eye.

That is great work oldman. You captured the thrust of the moves wonderfully. Love the emotional expressions too.
