And There Was Another One . . .

And There Was Another One . . . - 05/25/03 04:17 PM

Hey. Every few months, I post a topic like this, mostly to do some griping. So, here goes . . .

About two and a half weeks ago, I had my elbow hyper-extended. Still tender, hurts to do pretty much anything. So; no kata practice, no bagwork, scratching my nose, et al. Top that off, I was kicked in the solar plexus that same night, which re-separated a rib I had cracked/separated from my sternum at my Sho Dan test.

I start physical therapy (w/huge rubber band) tomorrow. Maybe that'll speed things up. I'm getting pretty antsy not doing karate or lifting weights.

Anyone else wish to gripe, please, PLEASE do so, as I won't stick out like a sore thumb (no pun).

Regards.

Hindu squats - when you can do 500, start one legged hindu squats.

This will take a long time, as well as making your legs mega strong!

[No machines needed other than yr legs!]

I do like the sound of the 1 legged hindu squats! Might try these on the class!

Well, stuff seems to be coming around.

I started physical therapy on my elbow yesterday. Three hooj rubber bands tied together. Wow. Should be another week or two before I can lift again.

My rib too seems to be getting better. Still hurts, moves when I try to sit up, stand up, breath, etc.

Anyway, more griping to come.
