I just found out one of my karate instructors resigned tonight. Its a real shame he was a good guy and i dont know weather or not the club will be able to continue running or if it will cut down the amount of training days per week. I think he resigned for a just reason though (it was a finacial argument with another instructor)wont go into details.Just ashame things couldnt work out.Karate politics ay....

Hello Euan:

Are politics the same as finances ? Similar but different creatures I propose...

As for breaks, dissolutions, break aways certainly...
Differences of opinion, particularly passionate ones, or intransigent/inflexible ones tend to burn ~ones bridges~ unfortunately. Perhaps the fellow will instruct privately? Perhaps you can offer your support in some manner...?

Sorry to hear things are not going well for you...

Sorry to hear of your problems.

I am afraid that politics invades all sorts of things.

I think ITF politics is probably the worst. Not only do we have all the regular politics, but we have the real world geo-politics of south & north Korea.

Hang in there!
