WHICH ART IS BETTER? WHICH ONE IS MORE EFFECTIVE? WHICH ONE WILL WORK BETTE RNOT IN TOURNAMENTS OF NO HOLDS BARRED, BUT IN THE STREETS IN STREET FIGHTS? WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE TO STUDY ONE OF THE TWO?

It's pretty much all the same, if they are using variations of the guard, mount, x-mount, etc. If that's the case, and you do a lot of alive drilling and sparring, then chose whichever one you feel more comfortable with.

Depending on where you live, if you are planing on training for self-defense, I would suggest a REAL BJJ school and just be sure to train one third no-Gi. Most people wear clothing most of the year and training the techniques utilizing the uniform can come in handy in a REAL situation. You can always train without the uniform to cover all your bases.
Good luck Bro....
